TrackSenseĀ® Pro Sensors
Ellab offers the largest range of different sensors with 1, 2 or 4 channels. Sensors are interchangeable, enabling the user to change sensors for different applications. This reduces costs because one set of TrackSenseĀ® Pro loggers can be used for temperature, humidity and pressure studies.

The temperature sensors can be delivered in rigid, semi flexible and flexible material for ease of use. New sensors are available with or withoutĀ LED that shows the status of the logger. An active, communicatingĀ logger is identified by a green blink.Ā  Loss of communication between the logger andĀ Access Point is signaled by a red blink.Ā This feature makes it much easier to start larger groups of loggers and helps avoid using unprogrammed loggers. In the case of an LED sensor being used in combination with a Sky module, the LED will confirm communication status.

The TrackSenseĀ® Pro sensors cover parameters such as:

Extreme Temperature Sensors
The standard temperature range is 0°C to +150°C, but it is possible to ordersensors which can be calibrated and measure down to -196°C or up to +400°C.

The logger has to be placed outside of the environment when measuring at -196°C. When measuring from +150°C up to 400°C, an insulation pack (thermal barrier) is required. The principel is to insulate the logger for a limited amount of time keeping the logger below +150°C. Please consult your local Ellab representative for specific time and temperature limits.

Thermal Barriers

The wireless data logger acquisition system is designed to collect data even at high temperatures. The logger upper temperature limit is 150°C (Pro and Pro X) so to exceed this limit the logger needs special protection. The protection, a thermal barrier, consists of a metal cylinder or flat pack with ceramic inserts and a metal lid. If a dual sensor is used, the appropriate dual sensor PEEK protection block must be used. The ceramic material must be saturated with distilled water before use. The system is designed to meet the requirements for measuring temperatures between 0 to +400°C / +32 to +750°F. Of course a high temperature sensor must be used in combination with the logger and the thermal barrier. Functioning principle: The thermal barrier is filled with distilled water. The system utilizes the effect of evaporating water. As long as there is
water left in the thermal barrier, the temperature of the logger will not exceed 100°C (boiling point of water at sea level). When all the water has evaporated, the temperature of the logger will rise quickly up to the ambient temperature.

B./ Tracksense ProĀ SKY System.

The TrackSenseĀ® Pro SKY system concept facilitates radio frequency data Ā transmission and is compatible with the existing TrackSenseĀ® Pro single orĀ double temperature sensors, 2nd Generation Pressure sensors and 2ndĀ Generation RH and Conductivity sensors.

The MicroĀ logger is designed for applications where size is an issue, like e.g.Ā in the following applications: hydrostats, spiral cooker/coolers and rotationĀ retorts. WithĀ a diameter ofĀ only 15 mm, it is ideal for pressureĀ and temperature measurements inside bottles, PET bottles, small containers and pouches.

The low volume displacement makes these small loggers ideal for monitoring inside packaging.

The TrackSenseĀ® Frigo logger is designed specifically for COLD applications.
Using a special larger AA battery this logger is able to operate at temperatures down to -90°C in up to 12 months. User is not able to change the sensors on the FRIGO logger. Logger only available with integrated sensor(s).

TrackSenseĀ® Frigo Logger

This Frigo logger with rigid sensorĀ is designed with an active LED light to indicate when a pre-programmed alarm situation has been triggered. The LED blinks green when the logger is running within the pre-programmed temperature band. If the measured temperature reaches outside of this band, the LED blinks red indicating an alarm situation.

  • ValSuite software, in conjunction with Ellab equipment, offers a complete system for the validation, monitoring, and documentation of critical parameters in thermal processes in the food, medical device, hospital, and pharmaceutical industries. Data can be collected, analyzed, displayed, and reported by ValSuite, which has been validated according to GAMP guidelines.

E-Val PRO 2015-5

  • The ValSuite software allows for several process parameters and events such as container and chamber temperatures, pressures, relative humidity, and processing times to be recorded simultaneously in one or several data files. The data analysis enables calculation of F0, A0, P0, and C0 values and statistical analysis as mean kinetic temperature, Combined uncertainty etc. The display function includes vertical and horizontal zoom, single or multi-channel display, and graphical and list data output. The reporting function enables customized report generation. An export function is also available for more specialized statistical analysis and graphical display.

  • The ValSuite Pro software is a validated and extended version of the ValSuite software. In addition to the functionality included in ValSuite, this version also includes password protection, electronic signature, and audit trail functions.
  • ValSuite can be used with SKY loggers (32 online sensors), TrackSense PRO2, TrackSense Pro, TrackSense, E-Val Flex and E-Val Pro, enabling both real time and cable-free data logging. A wide range of start conditions and sample rates are available, including delayed start and variable sample rates. The software is able to handle over 100 data channels (TrackSense) at one time.
  • All data are stored as BLOB (Binary Large Object Blocks) in the SQL 2012 express (Microsoft Desktop Engine) database, a scale down (personal) SQL type database installed automatically on hard disk during the software installation. It is possible to install a setup server / client solution with full audit trail and digital signature. The stored data linked to each individual session name can be uploaded directly using the ValSuite Session Manager, exported in Ellab special file format d7x and read by all ValSuite which are equal or newer in version.
  • Data can be exported to: Excel spreadsheet, word and CSV format. Please note that when exporting data from ValSuite to Excel / word data can be manipulated or deleted.
  • Sessions exported in d7x file format or dt4 format from other computers using ValSuite 2, 3, 4 or ValSuite 1 software can be opened, but only d7x or E7x format can be imported to the database. All transactions have audit trail.

H./ Factory Calibration
Ellab A/S calibrates the equipment before delivery and the found calibration constants are programmed into the sensor after a successful calibration session. The software will by default automatically warn the user 12 months after the last factory calibration. This warning message will show when starting but will be closed if selecting accept / yes.
